Who writes this, and how
Learn Jev is an independent resource for developers building on Jev, TypeSafe AI’s System One model. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by TypeSafe AI. Nothing here is official documentation — when this site and docs.typesafe.ai disagree, they are right and we are wrong.
It exists because Jev shipped on 15 September 2026 into a news cycle that repeated six different performance multipliers, misattributed the training method, and published at least one widely-shared code sample that does not match the actual API. Meanwhile TypeSafe quietly published a nine-item list of their own model’s failure modes that almost nobody linked to. There was room for something in between the launch post and the hot takes.
The sourcing standard

Every page cites its sources
Listed at the bottom, linked, and specific enough to check. If a page has no sources section, it is making no factual claims.

Vendor claims are labelled in the sentence that carries them
Almost every performance number published about Jev traces back to TypeSafe's own evaluation. That is normal three days after a launch and it is not an accusation — but “TypeSafe reports” and “measured” are different phrases and this site keeps them apart.

Code is verbatim or clearly ours
Examples taken from official docs or a named third party are reproduced as published. Code written for this site is written against the documented API and marked by context, never presented as something TypeSafe shipped.

Contradictions are surfaced, not smoothed over
The official docs disagree with themselves about the context window and about the model version's spelling. Secondary sources disagree about the multipliers and the founder's credentials. Where that happens, this site shows both and says which is better sourced.

“Nobody knows” is a valid answer
There is no RLCD paper, no calibration metric, no published confidence formula and no error-body schema. Pages say so rather than filling the gap with something plausible.
What this site is not
- — Not a benchmark. We have run no evaluation of our own; where numbers appear, their origin is named.
- — Not a review. Jev looks genuinely useful for a narrow set of jobs and oversold for the rest, and both halves of that are on the site.
- — Not affiliated. No commercial relationship with TypeSafe AI, and no affiliate links anywhere.
- — Not finished. Jev is days old. Pages carry a review date and will be wrong before they are updated.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, it should be fixed. The most likely candidates are claims that were accurate on 18 September 2026 and stopped being accurate when TypeSafe shipped the next version — particularly anything about jev-1.13’s documented failure modes, the rate limits, or which claims remain unverified.
